Our EZ Sleep Mattress Foundation Is Available!

Filed under: Mattress Foundations — marc @ 1:02 pm

Finally, after a year of researching and chin scratching, we have launched our new EZ Sleep Foundation piece, which can be purchased along with any of our latex mattresses. Designed to sit directly on any standard metal bed frame, headboard and footboard, or bed base, it’s 8″ tall and elevates your mattress to a comfortable height. Unlike conventional box springs and other foundations, our EZ sleep unit incorporates everything we wanted to build in to a well crafted, easy to setup foundation. We ship it factory direct via UPS in one box, and there are no tools required for assembly. It’s built like a tank, crafted using solid wood framework, and incorporates a solid center support beam, unlike cheaper box springs or platforms, which often have no support in the center, ultimately leading to dipping, rutting, bowing, and a gullying effect. Also, it’s completely upholstered all the way around, giving it a sleek and finished, high profile look. The top of the foundation is a series of solid wooden slats, upon which your mattress sits, allowing for passive ventilation, keeping you and your mattress cool and dry.

Equipped with a 15 year Factory Warranty that is comprehensive ( 5 Years Full Replacement, 10 Years Pro-Rated), and backed up with our 180 Day No Questions Asked Trial Period, our foundation is the most robust, solidly built bed base we’ve seen…and believe me, we’ve tested every one. Handmade in North Carolina by bedding veterans, each unit is made to last. Get yours today when you order your Natural Latex Mattress. Best part is, our foundations are priced below many brand name manufacturer’s foundation pieces that are made using composites, cardboard, and inferior textile materials. Like everything we offer at Habitat Furnishings, quality is first and foremost.

The Buoyant Qualities Of Natural Latex

Filed under: Natural Latex Mattresses — marc @ 12:00 pm

We receive countless emails and phone calls from customers who want to know, if you had to encapsulate it in a nutshell, the difference between a natural latex mattress and every other kind of sleep surface out there…the answer? Clearly, the distinctive difference is that natural latex (not synthetic latex or blends, mind you) has a unique buoyancy quality to it, that “bubbles you up” to the top of the bed. This characteristic, which keeps you on top of your mattress rather than buried inside, is the one single feature that satisfied users praise the most. It makes turning from side to belly, or from side to back clearly effortless, almost frictionless if you will, helping you to stay asleep.

Why do so many Americans have Ambien prescriptions? Well, stress in daily life and our culture aside, we’d guess that awful sleeping surfaces don’t help. Your bed should be a nest, a sanctuary, where sleep induction, the process of falling asleep, is effortless, and the experience of staying in deep, REM sleep, is robust. By this, bedding experts generally mean that your mattress should be supportive, distribute weight properly, ventilate effectively, and from a tactile standpoint, should feel inviting. We simply feel that only natural latex gives you all of these things, and more and more of our customers tell us this, rather directly, too, as if to be shocked and awed at how extraorodinary the feel of latex can be. We don’t take this experience for granted, either, since most of the Habitat staff has had at one time or another, sleep disorders, or at least an avoidance factor with mattresses from days gone by.
