How to Select a Latex Mattress

Filed under: Latex Mattress, Natural Latex Mattresses — angefantasyfit @ 8:29 pm

In the blog, Your Guideline On How To Select Latex Mattress, the unnamed blogger goes through the basics of selecting a latex mattress.  The blogger begins with an explanation of what natural latex is and how a natural latex mattress is made.  One good point that is made is that a good natural latex mattress can last 20 to 30 years.

Natural latex is hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, antibacterial, dust mite free, and it resists mold and mildew.  When it comes to cheaper latex mattresses, this blogger correctly points out that cheaper latex is synthetic latex made with petrochemicals.  In fact, up to 80% of latex mattresses are synthetic, not 100% natural and botanically derived.  In the long haul, the cheaper synthetic latex mattress is not cost effective since it doesn’t last nearly as long as a natural latex mattress.

Another great thing about a 100% all natural latex mattress is that it is completely recyclable when you are no longer using it (but plan on that being a very long time after your purchase).

To learn absolutely everything you need to know about the differences between synthetically made latex and 100% natural latex, check out our latex mattress page.
